Gabriel de Candolle, Switzerland

Dr Gabriel de Candolle obtained a state diploma in medicine and doctorate at the Geneva University in 1984.
He currently practises most of his hospital work at the Clinique Générale-Beaulieu where he performed the first tubal reversal sterilization using the Da Vinci© robot. It was the first gynaecological operation performed in Geneva with the robot.
Dr de Candolle has a FMH (Swiss Medical Association) qualification in Gynaecology and Obstetrics with a subspeciality in Reproductive Medicine. He is involved in numerous societies in the field of reproductive medicine and surgical endoscopy. He was President of the SSMR (Swiss Society for Reproductive Medecine between 2010 and 2013. Since october 2013 he is Secretary Generalof the IFFS (International Federation of Fertility Societies) He is a member of the Cercle Daniel Dargent (oncologic and pelvic surgery)

He also works as Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Alexandria University, Egypt. His current special interest is in reproductive medicine, reproductive Surgery & endocrinology, evidence based medicine, systematic reviews and clinical trials. He is the Lead Consultant for reproductive endocrinology and complex menopause services at St Mary’s Hospital,
He was the External Expert and Chief Editor of the European Board & College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (EBCOG) Standards for Gynaecology. He is member of the Faculty (and co-author) of the EBCOG-Master Class on the adaptation of evidence-based guidelines and was the Responsible Officer for UNFPA-EBCOG Collaboration.
He is an author of large number of peer-reviewed publications including Cochrane reviews and supervisor and examiner to higher degrees and undergraduates in the University of Manchester and others in the UK and in Europe.

Oladapo A Ashiru MBBS, Nigeria

Professor Oladapo Adenrele Ashiru is the CEO of the newly established Institute of Reproductive Medicine in Lagos Nigeria. He attended College of Medicine, University of Lagos, (1969 – 1974), graduating with distinction in Anatomy. His postgraduate training took place at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha (1977-1979).
Academic and Professional qualifications include MB, BS, Lagos, 1974; MS (Nebraska) 1978; PhD, Nebraska, 1979; HCLD (High Complexity Clinical Laboratory Director), American Board of Bioanalysis, 1997, and CC (Clinical Consultant) ABB-USA, 2012; FASN, FNSEM. He is the President of the African Fertility Society and Association of Anatomical Society of Africa. He is a member of the Executive Council of the International Federation of Fertility Societies and the International Federation of Association of Anatomists and a member of WHO Expert Committee on Infertility. He was made a Professor of the College of Medicine University of Lagos in 1983 at the age of 32 making him the youngest professor of Medicine in Africa till date. He was awarded Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (OFR), 2005. He was also made an Otunba of Ijebu Land by the Awujale the Paramount Ruler of Ijebu Land in 2006 in recognition of his meritorious work in infertility as Otunba Orodudujoye of Ijebuland. He has received several awards in his field of work.

Paul Devroey, Belgium

Paul Devroey, MD, PhD, received his medical education at the Dutch-speaking Catholic University of Louvain in 1971. He completed his doctorate in gynaecology, obstetrics and infertility on oocyte donation at the Dutch-speaking Brussels Free University in 1989. It was here that he pioneered the use of intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)in 1991. Professor Dr. P. Devroey has received three national and four international awards for research, and has written four books covering genetics and assisted conception, and ICSI theory and practice.
His Hirsch-index is 116 and he was cited 53 265 times.
Professor Devroey was a founding member and the first President of the Belgian Society of Reproductive Medicine. He has held the position of Director of Medical Education of the International Federation of Fertility Societies (IFFS) since 2011. Previous appointments held by Professor Devroey include Professor of Reproductive Medicine at the medical campus of the Dutch-speaking Brussels Free University (1986 -2011); Clinical Director of the Centre for Reproductive Medicine at the Dutch-speaking Brussels Free University (1983-2011).He was visiting Professor at the University of Manilla and University of Hong Kong. He is the past-chairman of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology. He is also the Past President of ESHRE.

Richard Kennedy, IFFS, United Kingdom

Richard Kennedy is a consultant gynaecologist and specialist in reproductive medicine and currently Clinical Director in Obstetrics at University Hospital Birmingham (UK). Richard has held senior medical leadership roles in the UK and Australia leading service improvement and reconfiguration initiatives. He set up a successful IVF unit in the UK, was a member of the first NICE infertility clinical guidelines committee and an inspector for the Human Fertilisation and Embryology. Prof. Osuga received both his MD and PhD from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Tokyo, Japan. He completed his OB/GYN residency training at the University of Tokyo. He is board certified by Japan Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Japan Society of Gynecologic and Obstetric Endoscopy and Minimally Invasive Therapy, Japan Society for Reproductive Medicine, and Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine. Prof. Osuga is currently the Professor of Department of OB/GYN, the University of Tokyo.
Prof. Osuga provides clinical services in gynecology and reproductive medicine with special expertise in laparoscopic surgery and assisted reproductive technology. His research program has focused on endometriosis, endometrium, and ovarian biology. He has authored over 300 research publications published in eminent peer-reviewed journals and has written and edited many textbooks. He serves as an executive board member of several medical groups and associations and an editor of several international journals. He is frequently sought out to provide his expertise at international medical conferences and academic institutions.
